International Childrens Medical Aid has brought smiles to a lot of children all over the world since its conception. The charity has always been a ‘front line’ charity because before 2005 the charity sent convoys over to Eastern Europe and issued important supplies to orphaned children, as well as raising funds to give cancer patients surgery so they can maintain a normal life without fear.

In 2005 the charity researched hard into how the charity can better help others, so now all funds raised are used to purchase the supplies needed in the respected countries as well as helping the local economies.

Since the last newsletter we have fed many more children and helped a little girl who was born very disabled. On February 5th 2007 she had her operation and now has two normal hands and fingers - wonderful. We are also helping children with disabilities in India. As always International Childrens Medical Aid is different form other charities in that it is totally voluntary and all of those who deal with the administration go on the aid and field trips.

We have been busy as always in providing the on going treatments to children who have serious medical conditions, who would otherwise not be able to receive any treatment, due to unavailability of the drugs supplied by International Childrens Medical Aid in their country. Many children that we support have Cancer, Leukemia, Aids and other life-threatening illnesses.

There are many that will read and look at the photographs of our children: think that it is ‘terrible’ and that we should not photograph these children. The suffering does exist and these children do suffer without treatment or support. Children don’t need sympathy! They need practical help; just a few pounds will give pain­killers, this makes a ‘difference’. A severely sick child will be able to have the simple comfort of being without pain. Hope House was just a dream, today Hope House is home to seven very sick children and over 100 children come for respite care and hundreds of children are fed from this small house.
